Situated in the heart of the Punaauia region, Le Meridien Tahiti overlooks white sand beaches, calming blue waves, and commanding mountains. Papeete, the capital of Tahiti, is a cultural hub of the South Pacific, featuring colourful markets, distinguished art and history museums, and lush botanical gardens.
The hotel offers four sophisticated meeting rooms, providing the largest conference and convention facilities in French Polynesia, diving expeditions, a sandy-bottomed swimming pool, and a fusion of French and Polynesian cuisines at Le Carre.
Just minutes away from the celebrated sites of French Polynesia, Le Meridien Tahiti offers excursions to the Caves of Maraa, the Gauguin Museum, and the Seashell Museum. Glorious waterfalls form the core of expansive canyons at the heart of the island.
Guest Rooms
Le Meridien Tahiti's Garden-View and Lagoon-View Rooms are very spacious (approximately 47.6 square meters) and look directly over the blue lagoon of Tahiti. Each features a terrace, creating the ideal place to read or take in the sunset. Decorated in vivid primary colors, Polynesian furnishings, natural materials and local designs, all guest rooms are available with a queen-size bed or two single beds, as well as air-conditioning, direct dial phone, safe, satellite television, Internet access, minibar, and coffee-maker. The bathrooms feature a separate bathtub and walk-in shower.
The 12 Polynesian-style Bungalows stretch out into the lagoon and are perched right over the water. Each bungalow has a large deck for whiling away the hours over the lagoon. The over-water bungalows are very spacious (approximately 56 square meters) with a separate dressing area, and have air-conditioning, safe, satellite television, mini-bar, tea/coffee amenities, and an iron and ironing board. While it is not possible to add an extra bed to these rooms, a convertible sofa can be used for a third adult or a child.
